Who cares if the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado receives only minimal updates? After such a thorough overhaul and improvement of the Silverado, Chevy earned some R and R after doing so much heavy lifting the previous year. With regard to general aesthetic appeal, the interior, which improved from being embarrassing to possibly being the best cabin in the segment (Ram may still have an advantage in terms of materials quality and functionality). Even the popular Silverado LT looks and feels opulent nowadays, but the High Country truly impresses with its open-pore wood trim and striking navy blue leather option. Regarding the rest of the truck, the Duramax diesel engine from Chevy is now even more amazing because of its enhanced output for 2023 and how dang quiet it is. You'd be hard-pressed to tell it's a diesel, and we don't mean that in an exaggerated way. The base 2.7-liter turbo-lack four's of a large, powerful V8 is obvious, but that's okay because of the engine's performance and fuel efficiency. Even though the massive, hefty V8s are effective, we eventually favor the big engines from Ford and Ram.
Additionally, we favor operating those trucks in general. Despite the Silverado's impressive overall handling and precise steering, Ford and especially Ram offer a more luxurious and pleasant ride. Overall, it acts more like a truck; a Ram 1500 frequently has the sense of a family crossover. We anticipate that many Silverado fans won't give it much thought, but if you use your full-size truck on a regular basis, you should be aware of it.
